Kazakhstan In Top Three Fastest Growing Economies, Says President

KAZAKHSTAN, Nov 25 (Bernama) — Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said that Kazakhstan has entered the world’s top three countries with fastest growing economies, TREND news agency reported Friday.

“International experts have admitted that Kazakhstan is in the top three countries with fastest growing economies, behind Qatar and China”, Nursultan Nazarbayev said, summing up the country’s development over 20 years of independence at the regular congress of the Nur Otan party in Astana.

Nur Otan (fatherland’s ray of light) is the largest political party in Kazakhstan with over 762,000 members.

In his speech, he said that the congress takes place in a responsible and memorable year – the year of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence.

“The Nur Otan Party has been and remains the party of unity and solidarity of the people and intends to keep on leading it,” he stressed.

According to him, over the past five years, the volume of Kazakhstan’s economy grew more than twice; the amount of grain harvested this year – more than 30 million tonnes – is a record for all years.

“We came to the 4th place in the world in the export of flour”, said the President.

According to him, Kazakhstan has entered the top twenty countries in terms of investments attracted into the economy.
